Basil Anthony Harewood, also known as TONE, is a London-based Musician, Producer, Songwriter and Video Director. ​

An active presence within London’s experimental and independent music scene, Harewood has worked across a wide network of artists and projects as a musician, producer and collaborator. A recording and performing artist with releases on Big Dada, K Records, Rhythm Section and Curl Recordings. Composer of music for visual, film and commercial projects, a session musician and audio engineer. With placements and music featured on Netflix, HBO, BBC and original compositions for independent TV, film and advertising projects.

A video director and visual creative, having collaborated on several successful projects with both independent and commercial artists, brands, and companies. Notable contributions include music videos for Raisa K, Tirzah, Good Sad Happy Bad, shame, a feature on Mica Levi's New Music Biennial performance at the Southbank Centre, and his short film for Farai's 'This is England' was selected for the British Shorts Official Selection in Berlin 2020.

Alongside poet Farai Bukowski-Bouquet, he formed FARAI, a collaborative project pairing Bukowski-Bouquet’s vocals and writing with Harewood’s songwriting, instrumentation and production. Their Kisswell EP was released by NON Worldwide in 2017, followed by the debut album Rebirth on Big Dada in 2018, receiving coverage from The Guardian, FADER, Pitchfork, Dazed and others, with Rebirth subsequently appearing in year-end selections from The Arts Desk and XLR8R.

In 2022, with a mixtape already under his belt, one that he says was thrown together on a whim, the London-based artist released his debut solo album So I Can See You on the label Rhythm Section International. This new body of work was created during the pregnancy and subsequent birth of his daughter. Compelled to capture this significant moment, recording mostly at night, with his new life and old life in mind. The album is less a departure of who he was but an embrace of the future and the new life that arrives with beginning a family. Each track was recorded on a Tascam 38 tape machine in the studio he set up with Mica Levi and Coby Sey in Hither Green with the drums, played by Marc Pell (Good Bad Happy Sad) recorded at Andy Ramsey’s (Stereolab) studio Press Play. Features on the album by Roxanne Tataei and Fran Lobo.​​ It received reviews in Resident Advisor, KEXP, God Is In The TV and The Line of Best Fit.
